Transferring to Marlboro

Sometimes people transfer here as juniors because they have have an idea about what they want to do for Plan, whereas I came here more just for the school, and then I had to figure out what I wanted to do my Plan on. I had to hit the ground running. There's a lot of independence and a lot of responsibility—that can be really hard, but you get so much more out of it.”

The admissions staff recognizes that as a transfer student, your previous academic experiences have served to clarify which factors will be most important in selecting your next college.

We strongly encourage all transfer applicants to visit the college, stay overnight with a current student host, have an interview and observe classes. Talking with a wide variety of community members while on campus will help to give you a good sense of whether Marlboro is the next college for you.

Marlboro is a Common Application school; we accept online and printed Common Applications.

The admissions staff will arrange for transfer students to speak with a faculty member in their area of interest. This will clarify what work, if any, will be required before the student may go on Plan, the focused course of study that occupies their last two years at Marlboro.

Admissions is currently accepting applications for the fall semester.
